Chitin Shard
common
4–10 SP
Chitin Shards are broken plates from larger pressure-hardened creatures, still tough enough to nick a knife and stubborn enough to jam a filter intake. Engineers shave them into patch resin or grind them into abrasive grit, though every shard seems to remember the thing it used to protect.
