Submariner — Sea Life

The Scarplate Breachray glides flat against the seafloor until a hull shadow passes above it. Then its wing edges lock rigid and the creature erupts upward, trying to split metal by surprise rather than strength. Old captains call it the door-knocker because it always announces itself exactly once.
