The Mnemoshard Seahorse grows tiny crystal plates that flicker with remembered sonar echoes. It is harmless unless frightened, at which point it replays every loud noise it has ever heard at once. Crews keep its shed plates near power couplings because the crystals seem to remember the shape of efficient work.
