Submariner — Sea Life

A strange steampunk fish built from dark wood plating, brass joints, and riveted metal seams. Its bulging eyes and long pointed nose give it an eerie appearance, while its insides are filled with gears, springs, and other ticking mechanisms instead of organs. It moves through the water in stiff, twitchy bursts, trailing faint creaks and metallic clicks behind it. Many believe it is an old artificial construct that somehow became part of the ocean ecosystem. Not edible. When harvested, it yields crafting parts instead of meat, including cogs, springs, brass fittings, valves, and treated wood scraps. It is usually found near wrecks, abandoned machinery, and debris fields. Curious but not highly aggressive, it often nudges submarines and loose objects with its long nose.
