The Trenchnail Gorger feeds on wreckage first and living things second, which is not much comfort when your submarine sounds like a wreck. Its nail-like teeth grow in overlapping rows, each one stained with old ballast oil and bone. When it circles, the water fills with the soft metallic ticking of teeth testing each other for sharpness.
